February 1, 2009 - Pinch punch first day of the month, got you first. I will make this post short and sweet. To begin with WHAT A SUPER BOWL!!! Last year was obviously better for us Giants fans but this game sure did come around into an instant classic. I think we all can agree the first half was a disappointment but the second half was amazing. Too bad the Cardinals didn't throw to Larry Fitzgerald earlier and more often.
Sarah and I finished our three day tour of Seattle and will be heading out to the coast and Olympic National Park tomorrow. From there we start the trip south to San Diego. Highlights from Seattle - 1. Pike's Market: Jack's Crab Pot; FANTASTIC chowder $4.29/bowl. 2. Elliot's Oyster House: Pier 56 down on Elliot Bay $100/2 people alcohol included. 3. Underground walking tour: worth taking, great history of the founding of the city $15/person 4. Music/Science Fiction Museum: great way to spend a slow day in Seattle.
Final thoughts - As Sarah and I are planning out the next few days of the trip we continue to run into the same snag: "Closed for Winter" or "Winter Hours". My advice to you, if you plan on taking a road trip in the great north west do it in the summer months.
I am going to leave you with this picture, I took it in Spokane, WA. I forgot my camera today and don't have any pictures from today's underground walking tour.
We loved Seattle and hope you did too! What a great stop on the trip - keep on truckin'!
ReplyDeleteforgetting your camera on an underground walking tour is inexcusable. actually, no its not. taking pictures on a deep water fishing tour and handing the camera into cvs with no film (lustage) is inexcusable
